I was born in San Francisco, California on August 10, 1984. I
lived in Mayward until the age of 5, we then moved to Modesto. At
the age of 6 my Dad gave me a little red violin, I remember being so
excited to learn how to play it. So as the years went by I got better, but I
never saw any other young people playing mariachi music. I guess the only real
inspirational moments were when my Dad would take us to Cielito Lindo
restaurant, so I knew at a young age that I wanted to be in Sol de Mexico some
day. In 2005 I was honored when I got the opportunity to audition for Mr.
Hernandez, because he didn't know who I was. I had no recommendation nor
experience, but Mr. Hernandez believed in me. I am proud to be part of Sol
de Mexico!
